The Wall Street Journal reports that nationwide sushi purveyor Kura Sushi is offering caramel-banana nigiri on their menu.
Yes, that’s right — a banana sliced in half lengthwise on top of rice topped with caramel sauce. A company spokesman declares that, while it isn’t for everyone, it “really isn’t that bad.” What a hearty endorsement.
Not mentioned in the WSJ blog post is that Kura is also selling some kind of corn sushi, made the same way as a piece of ikura nigiri. Check out Kura’s website for more info.
Both types of nigiri are available for 100 yen and only until July 17, 2014.
